We are a Michigan-based interior decorating company in the metro Detroit area that offers a variety of services including Interior Decorating, Home Staging, Shopping Services and E-Design Services.

We firmly believe that your home should be a sense of inner peace and tranquility that’s both stylish and functional. Speaking of style, our decorating style exemplifies both transitional and modern designs with emphasis on elegance and classic, but most importantly, functional. Latoya H. Smith

The true definition of a perfectionist, Latoya H. Smith is the epitome of style and elegance. She developed a passion for interior decor over the years decorating her and her husband’s homes and refreshing those homes for resale. Latoya decided to capture her work in the form of a holiday magazine that featured holiday glam décor and with such positive feedback affirmed her decision to launch House of Smith Interiors (HOSI) in partnership with her husband. Latoya has a background in Sales & Marketing with over 15 years of corporate experience. She is classically trained as a Certified Interior Decorator and brings forth her forward-thinking ideas to every project, while also adhering to deadlines and process that ensures a flawless-execution and exceptional client experience.

Latoya enjoys spending family time with her husband Allen, children, Sheldon and Avery and puppy Ace. They are her reason for being.

Allen Smith

Being attentive to detail, creative, and structured are three qualities Allen Smith embodies. Working in the mortgage finance industry over the last 12 years has helped Allen to develop these traits. Allen has worked with numerous clients and home appraisers, and from that, he was exposed to the process of staging homes for sale.

In having seen such a variety of interiors, decorations, and designs, Allen developed an eye for interior decor. After several home projects together with his wife, Allen became more integrated with his wife’s vision and together they formed House of Smith Interiors (HOSI).

Allen enjoys family time more than anything. Building things, reading and rough housing with the children brings him joy. When he’s not with family he can be found mentoring others or on a golf course near you.

Allen and Latoya met at Michigan State University and started their courtship in 2003. After dating for 10 years, they decided to get married and several years later they made their best creations yet, Sheldon (3), Avery (2) and Harper (7 months). Allen and Latoya have been an item for half of their lives, and we’re not talking break or gaps either. They are opposites but compliment one another and make the perfect team to raise their Smith Clan. Through the House of Smith Interiors brand they have been able to touch people’s lives in the most intimate of ways, helping others make their house a home.
